Normandy Forest HOA Architectural Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s:
1. Lawn Maintenance: Mow, edge, weed, routinely, weekly during summer months (May – September). Fertilize (weed and feed) lawn; recommendation is four (4) times a year to keep the lawn healthy. Re-sod areas of lawn when needed. Pull weeds from driveway and sidewalk expansion joints.

  1. Exterior of Home: Power wash exterior to remove mildew from the siding. Sides of the home that do not see the sun are susceptible to mildew. Remember to walk around your home to analyze the condition of the exterior.
  2. Fence: Fence needs to be kept in good appearance. Replace fence pickets when they are missing or in bad condition. If fence begins to lean, please reinforce it to make it stand straight and not leaning.
  3. Window Screens: Keep window screens clean and free of tears and/or holes. If there are window screens that are torn, have holes, and/or are missing, please replace promptly to maintain good appearance.
  4. Construction is only permitted from 7 am – 7 pm.
  5. Driveways and Sidewalks: Please power wash routinely to remove mildew (black in color).
  6. Pets: Please pick up after your pets Be respectful and clean up all areas including sidewalks/walkways, vacant lots, common areas and individual’s property when walking your pet(s).
  7. Disposal of Trash: Always remember to keep the trash picked up from your Lot.


Don’ts:
1. Livestock:Noanimals,livestock,orpoultryofanykindaretoberaised,bred, or kept on any Lot.

  1. Architectural Modifications/Improvements: No exterior changes to your home or yard without Architectural approval by the ACC Committee. Example (including but not limited to): patios/gazebos, sheds, pool installation, exterior painting, roofing, major landscaping changes, etc.
  2. Storage of Vehicles: Unless otherwise approved by the Committee: No boats, boat trailers, RV’s, trailers, campers, inoperable vehicles may be parked and/or stored in the street. However, boats, boat trailers, RV’s, trailers, and campers may be “temporarily” parked in the driveway or streets, but not in excess of seventy-two (72) hours.

4. Repair of Vehicles: No working on your vehicles in driveways or streets other than work of temporary nature.
5. Displays of Flags, Signs, Banners Per Texas State Statutes:

A. Only flags of the United States of America, State of Texas or an official or replica flag of any branch of the United States Armed Forces may be displayed.

    displayed on a freestanding flagpole.
  2. Not more than two (2) of the permitted types of flags shall be displayed
    on a flagpole at any given time.
  3. Flags, signs and banners for organizations are not permitted to be
    displayed.

6. Signs: No signs, billboards, advertising signs and construction signs are permitted on any Lot.
7. Political Displays Per Texas State Statutes:
A. Signs for political candidates or motions on the ballot are allowed only 90 days before the upcoming election up until
10 days after that election.

  1. Only one (1) sign, banner or flag may be displayed per
    candidate running for office during any upcoming election.
  2. Only one (1) sign, banner or flag may be displayed per motion
    on the ballot during any upcoming election.

8. Yard Signs regarding Birthday, Baby Shower, Graduation, etc., signs are allowed for one week. Holidays: For example, Merry Christmas, Easter, Halloween, are considered decorations and not signs. Holiday decorations should be taken down no later than two (2) weeks after the holiday.
